So I'm doing this post, the first after 1319 days. Reading my old posts are amusing because I used to exclusively log about my day. I did some advertising and self-promotion in previous posts but don't count on any ads in this new run of my blog. The AdSense prospect seems enticing but also counter to the spirit of blogging. After all, if this is supposed to kill paper publishing we should have the balls not to profit ourselves. Take that New York Times! Anyway.

The most interesting part of this post is that I am posting from the airplane. They have wifi which is as delightful as it is horribly distracting.

The bright side is that I have spent considerable time researching methods for shooting in 3-D. It looks like it is feasible and not too expensive. The real question is whether or not this technology is really going to take off. There is a plethora of buzz on the matter. Okay, I don't know if you clicked on all of those links and you really don't have to except the last one. Slim Shady in 3-D? Either way, the point of the modern 3-D fad is that anyone can do it. The mounts are DIY, so as long as you have a camera this could be shot like mumblecore. Mumblecore. That's certainly a discussion for another day. Okay I think I am going to sign off here.

These little town blues...

I believe it's time for another post.
Here's a quick recap of everything that happened in the past few months:
-Went to Nam and Japan
-Started school
-Made a movie in German entitled Deutches Kino Heute
-Got my license and a car
-Started the spring play
-Applied to college

I don't feel like writing real long posts, so I might just use this blog to post interesting things that I find on the web. It might end up becoming a log of the web (or as I like to call it, a "weblog")

First on the list is this new driving law, which effects most everyone who reads this blog.

Tougher Progressive Driving Laws for Teens -

As of January 1, 2006 teen drivers are required to have their license for one year before being allowed to drive between 11PM. and 5AM. Teen drivers will also need to have their license for one year before being permitted to have passengers under the age of 20 years unless accompanied and supervised by a licensed parent, guardian, instructor, or person 25 years of age or older. This law applies to all teens, even those who received their drivers license before Jan. 1, 2006. - AB 1474

A study conducted by the Traffic injury Research Foundation in 2000, concluded that crash rates amongst provisional licensees do not begin to stabilize until about 15 months after licensure.

YO!

Are you looking for the newest and hippest thing to wear? I invite you to look no further than the new Jesus Christ Superstore and their sister site at cafepress.com. This innovative new line is the prime place to find all the borderline offensive apparel you could ever want.

Next time you feel like "turning up the Jesus"-

-Just drop these guys a line.

Hey hey!

I haven't been posting in a while, but fear not, I'm not about to stop. I'm writing from my dorm room in the 9th floor of Fluor Tower, in the University of Southern California. It took me forever to post because my only outlet to the Internet was the crappy library computers. Classes have been rigorous yet very fulfilling at the same time. I am currently enrolled in the Independent Eye, which has a focus on 16mm. All you edit junkies will be delighted to know that we are working on Avid systems, which aren't that hard once you get the hang of them. Have fun with that.

Fight on!

Yowza.

Hello all. Liquid Strike III is coming along nicely. Perhaps we will have some stills for you soon. The English AP test was very odd, as it had little to do with what we had been practicing to do for the majority of the year. In other news, Prom was thoroughly enjoyable. As almost anyone can attest to, the music blew, but at least you could still have fun with all the people there. Well, that's it for now.

Oh, for a fun time, try visiting what I incorrectly assumed would redirect me to Eliot's blog. (Don't blame me if this becomes porn later.)

Hmm.

Is anyone as suprised as I was when I found out Santa Claus died?

Oh well.
